Using customer feedback and quantitative data, it was clear that the Tripadvisor Vacation Rental experience needed to improve user experiences for those searching, booking properties & communicating with hosts, and in turn the workflows for property owners to communicate with prospective guests, payment and listing management also needed to be improved.

Competitors provided a more lightweight and intuitive experience on both sides of the vacation rental experience, and it was our goal to take cues from their products, and use that to improve our experiences as well.

By reducing friction for guests to book a property and contact owners, and provide a more lightweight and intuitive experience for owners to manage their listings across multiple Tripadvisor brands, engagement and customer satisfaction were increased exponentially.
